Zhang Yuanshan, a writer and scholar, currently lives in Shanghai. He has been studying Zhuangzi, various philosophers, and pre-Qin history for more than 30 years. He has published 15 works on philosophy, literature, and history, with 28 versions at home and abroad. In 2008, he launched the "Zhuangzi Project" and has published the "Three Books on Zhuangzi Studies", "The Secret of Zhuangzi", "The Reproduction of Zhuangzi with Notes and Translations", and "The Biography of Zhuangzi - A Century of the Warring States Period", establishing his status as a master of new Zhuangzi studies. From studying the pre-Qin period to tracing back to the pre-Zhou, pre-Shang, and pre-Xia periods, he used the triple evidence of archaeology, philology, and genetics to create "Fuxi Studies", and made a comprehensive and holistic interpretation of the origins of the ancient Chinese culture for 8,000 years.
